Sunnyside is located on the outskirts of the historic village of Lidlington (formally known as) Lilincletone (circa 1086), Lillingestan, Lutlingeton, Lytlington (13th century) and LutLyngton (14th century). We are a family run farm which not only has luxury lodges but is also home to an international showjumping rider and trainer (our daughter) Lucinda.
Our hill top retreat runs along side the infamous 40 mile Green Sand Ridge, known for it’s fantastic scenery and used by hundreds of hikers and cyclists every year. The Green Sand Ridge was formed 125 million years ago by layers of sand, clay and chalk deposited by a shallow sea. Geological movement and the ice age buckled and folded the landscape creating the spectacular surroundings we are proud to share with you today.
